Puri: In a run up to the presidential poll, priests of the Sri Jagannath Temple at Puri offered a sought the Lord’s blessings for his victory.

Pranab considered as the front runner in the race to Raisina hills. Priest of Puri Jagannath temple, Ramakrushna Dasmohapatra, known as Rajesh Daitapati, has  offered a special puja to the Lord seeking Mukherjee’s success in the election.

According to some section of media the Dasmohapatra family has been the priest for the Mukherjees since generations.

Pranab Mukherjee last visited the temple seven years ago. Dasmohapatra uses to visit Mukherjee in Kolkata and New Delhi.

He offered a Lord’s cloth to him three months ago.
