Bhubaneswar(Odisha): Noted literary person Bhubaneswar Rath  has been awarded by president of India Pratibha Devisingh Patil for his contribution in spreading Shanskrit language.

Rath, a native of Baunsa Padia village in Nayagrah district of Odisha has been enriching the Shasnkrit language through his writings and promoting it in many educational institutions like Srijagannath University and National Shanskrit University at Tirupati.

He has scripted as many as 15 original pieces of poem and other popular poems in Shanskrit. He has been in news after translating ‘A story of Shanskrit literature’ by Prof Keith of Oxford University.
