Jaswant Singh to take on Hamid Ansari in vice-presidential election

New Delhi: In a run up to the vice-presidential election, the National Democratic Alliance announced the name of former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh’s name as their vice-presidential candidate against Hamid Ansari after a meet at senior leader LK Advani's house.

After announcing the name Advani said that the NDA had objection to the way in which Hamid Ansari had adjourned Lok Sabha during the Lokpal debate.

Jaswant Singh will challenge UPA candidate Hamid Ansari for vice-president in the August 7 polls.
