Ash is a short, gender-neutral name inspired by the ash tree, known for its tall trunk and delicate clusters of leaves. In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil, the immense tree connecting the nine worlds, is often described as an ash. The name therefore carries associations of strength, interconnectedness and the enduring life of the natural world.
