Keonjhar: A 16-year-old girl gave birth to a girl child in Keonjhar district. Based on a medical report, police have registered a case regarding the matter and are investigating to catch the accused.Police received a doctor’s report on Saturday night from the district headquarters hospital regarding a minor girl who had given birth to a girl child. Acting on the report, police registered a case. On Friday, the girl reportedly fell ill and was first admitted to a sub-divisional hospital. She was later shifted to Keonjhar DHH, where the medical report revealed that she had given birth to a girl child.IIC, Dharmendra Shanti, said, “A case was registered immediately last night after receiving the medical report. Based on the report, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Further information is awaited.
