Rourkela: A security guard was killed after a speeding car collided with his motorcycle on Ring Road near a mall under Chhend police station limits on Thursday morning. Police are searching for the accused car driver. The deceased was identified as Ishwar Oram (37) of Sector-6 in Rourkela. According to sources, Oram was travelling to the mall to report for duty when the speeding car hit his motorcycle throwing him on the road. The car climbed onto the divider, while its driver fled, leaving the vehicle at the spot.A woman home guard provided assistance to Oram before he was taken by ambulance to Rourkela Government Hospital. He later died. Officials from Chhend police station reached the spot and conducted an inquiry. Police seized the car and the motorcycle. Oram was reportedly working as a security guard at a shop inside the mall. His family members had gone to Ranchi for some work and were informed by police. His post-mortem will be conducted on Friday, after which the body will be handed over to his family.
