Addressing a public meeting on the occasion, the Chief Minister presented the state government’s commitment to making Keonjhar a diversified industrial hub. The CM said while addressing a gathering that ” Keonjhar will not be known only for mining and steel. We will make it a golden Keonjhar by making it a center for multi-sector industrial growth”. ” 1,200 youth mostly women will get employment opportunities in the textile park to be developed with an investment of Rs 100 crore. With modern infrastructure and logistical support, Hindalco company will set up a garment manufacturing unit on 7 acres of land. This unit will produce 24 lakh garments annually. Industries are the pillars of prosperity. He said that women and youth in particular will get more employment opportunities” CM further said. Reminding the Odisha Textile Conclave (O-TEX) held in Bhubaneswar in July last year, the CM said “33 MoUs worth Rs 7,800 crore were signed, which will be create employment opportunities for over 53,000 people across the state. Along with a Technical Textile Park in Bhadrak, dedicated textile and apparel parks are also being set up in Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Balangir, Ganjam, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur. Our youth will strengthen the textile industry working in the state” On this occasion, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a disaster recovery and data centre with an investment of Rs 187 crore by the Electronics and IT Department through OCAC .This centre will act as a backup to the state data centre in Bhubaneswar and ensure uninterrupted delivery of digitally delivered government services in the event of natural disasters or cyber threats. “In the information era our government provides more than 400 services online. Citizens’ data should always be safe, accessible and under our control. The centre will support data localisation efforts and enhance the resilience of the state’s digital governance. This project has been set up here as Keonjhar disteict is less earthquake-prone” the Chief Minister said. “A prosperous Odisha can be built through the prosperity of the districts. An allocation of Rs 312 crore has been made for temple development in the Keonjhar district and projects worth Rs 1900 crore were already started during Makar Festival. Industrial growth and digital power are the main carriers of our journey towards a developed India” CM added. The event was attended by Keonjhar MP Anant Naik, MLA Akhil Naik, Dr. Fakir Mohan Naik, District Magistrate Vishal Singh OCAC CEO Pradeep Kumar Rout, Hindalco President Ardhendu Mohapatra, and other senior officers and a large number of citizens. People from all over the district attended the meeting.”
