Soori’s ‘Mandaadi’ continued its strong theatrical run on Day 4, while Karthi’s ‘Sardar 2’ witnessed a comparatively modest rise. The two Tamil films released on the same day and are now competing at the box office.According to Sacnilk, ‘Mandaadi’ collected Rs 13.05 cr net in India on September 13, its first Sunday. The film registered 60.2% occupancy across 3,874 shows. Its Day 4 collection was 30.5% higher than the Rs 10.00 cr earned on Day 3.‘Mandaadi’ opened with Rs 4.85 cr on Day 1 from 2,953 shows, recording 32.7% occupancy. It then collected Rs 6.70 cr on Day 2, with 44.9% occupancy across 2,864 shows. Day 3 brought Rs 10.00 cr, with occupancy rising to 53.8% from 3,354 shows.

Soori’s film reaches Rs 34.60 cr India net

After four days, ‘Mandaadi’ has accumulated Rs 34.60 cr in India net collections. Its India gross has reached Rs 40.48 cr. The film also maintained a healthy presence in overseas markets. ‘Mandaadi’ earned Rs 2.50 cr overseas on Day 4. Its total overseas gross now stands at Rs 7.50 cr. The film has therefore reached Rs 47.98 cr in worldwide gross collections.Tamil shows remained the biggest contributor to the Day 4 total. The language collected Rs 11.15 cr net from 2,884 shows. It recorded 67.0% occupancy. Telugu contributed Rs 1.90 cr from 990 shows, with 40.2% occupancy.

‘Mandaadi’ posts high Tamil occupancy

The Tamil 2D version of ‘Mandaadi’ registered 68.04% overall occupancy on Day 4. Morning shows recorded 39.85%, while afternoon shows reached 70.08%. Evening occupancy stood at 80.38%, followed by 77.31% at night. The Telugu 2D version recorded 40.02% overall occupancy. Morning shows registered 25.36%. Afternoon, evening and night shows recorded 37.82%, 44.27% and 45.45%, respectively.The Day 4 state-wise gross collection stood at Rs 15.25 cr. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 11.00 cr. APTG added Rs 2.25 cr, while Karnataka contributed Rs 1.35 cr. Kerala recorded Rs 45 lakhs, and the rest of India contributed Rs 20 lakhs.

‘Sardar 2’ records 11.4% growth on Sunday

Karthi’s ‘Sardar 2’ also registered growth on Day 4, but its collection remained considerably below ‘Mandaadi’. The film earned Rs 2.45 cr net in India from 2,754 shows, recording 23.6% occupancy.Its Day 4 collection was 11.4% higher than the Rs 2.20 cr earned on Day 3. ‘Sardar 2’ opened with Rs 4.50 cr on Day 1, recording 24.5% occupancy across 3,950 shows. Day 2 brought Rs 2.45 cr from 3,361 shows at 19.3% occupancy. Day 3 collected Rs 2.20 cr from 3,035 shows, with 21.0% occupancy.

Karthi’s film reaches Rs 17.85 cr worldwide

After four days, ‘Sardar 2’ has collected Rs 11.60 cr net in India. Its India gross stands at Rs 13.60 cr. The film earned Rs 75 lakhs overseas on Day 4, taking its overseas gross to Rs 4.25 cr. Its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 17.85 cr. On Day 4, Tamil contributed Rs 1.95 cr from 1,804 shows at 26.0% occupancy. Telugu added Rs 0.50 cr from 950 shows, recording 19.0% occupancy.The early box-office figures clearly place ‘Mandaadi’ ahead of ‘Sardar 2’. Soori’s film has already crossed Rs 34 cr in India net and Rs 47 cr worldwide gross.
