Taking to her Instagram account, Heming shared a note in light of World FTD Awareness Week and how her partner, Bruce Willis, is one of the main reasons as to why she raises her voice and advocates for FTD. She wrote, “I can’t go through World FTD Awareness Week without talking about Bruce. He is the driving force behind my advocacy. He has opened so many doors for me in this work, and I will continue to walk through them.”She added, “I will not let his diagnosis be in vain. I know how proud he would be to know that he is helping families living with FTD and other forms of dementia and their care partners be seen and heard.” She also talked about how grateful she is for the ‘Speed 2’ actor and how happy she is to care for him.Her post concluded by adding, “In this next chapter of his life, Bruce continues to build on his legacy. He is, and always will be, a fucking legend. And I am so proud to be his wife.” She uploaded the post along with a photo of the retired actor wearing a bucket hat, a pair of black sunglasses, and a white T-shirt with hand-drawn drawings on it.The Willis family had earlier shared in 2023 that the actor had been diagnosed with FTD, along with his initial diagnosis of aphasia. Since then, they have remained active on social media and have kept fans updated about his health and well-being.In May, while talking about Willis’ health and how he has been, she had shared, “You know, we’re doing well. My husband is supported and loved, and we’re doing the best we can under the circumstances. What I’ve learned is that it’s so important to care for ourselves, and if we’re not caring for ourselves, how can we care for the people that we love in our lives? So it’s really important to prioritize our health, to prioritize our brain health. There are actually actionable things we can do today to support our brain tomorrow.”The couple have been married for years now and first tied the knot in 2009.
