JAMMU: A 19-year-old woman from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), whom the Army had detained along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri’s Nowshera last week, was repatriated Wednesday through Chakkan Da Bagh in Poonch district.Army’s 6/1 Gorkha Rifles had apprehended the woman—Samiya Azeem from Bains Gala, Seri, in PoK’s Kotli district—in Lam area on Oct 2 after she entered India. She was later handed over to local police.“After the completion of necessary formalities, police and Army personnel escorted her from Lam police post to Chakkan Da Bagh, where she was repatriated through the designated crossing point,” an official said.
