LUCKNOW: A post-mortem report of 28-year-old restaurant owner Shiva Sharma, who died after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment near Balu Adda on October 9, records 11 entries detailing external injuries and six broad categories of internal findings.The report notes tears in both lungs, injuries to the liver and spleen, substantial internal bleeding and a fracture of the right pelvic bone. Doctors attributed his death to shock and haemorrhage resulting from the injuries.Police are investigating whether Sharma jumped, was pushed or fell accidentally. Investigators are examining CCTV footage, witness statements and physical evidence from the scene to reconstruct the sequence of events.They are also considering a crime scene recreation to establish the likely point of impact and determine whether the evidence at the site is consistent with the injuries recorded in the autopsy. Officials said the post-mortem findings alone do not establish how Sharma went over the edge.
Mother accuses girlfriend, others of assault and murder
Sharma’s mother, Ranjana Sharma, has accused his girlfriend, model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, a driver, an associate identified as Adil, and others of assaulting and murdering her son.Hazratganj police have registered an FIR based on her complaint. The allegations have not yet been established.Ranjana told police that she received a call from Adil around 7pm on October 9, informing her that Sharma’s condition had worsened and that he was being taken to King George’s Medical University (KGMU).She alleged that when the family reached the hospital, the people who had accompanied Sharma showed him to them from a distance before fleeing. Doctors subsequently declared him dead, according to her complaint.Ranjana also alleged that Dubey had harassed Sharma for months, threatened to implicate him in false cases and damage his reputation, and used blackmail and violence to pressure him into continuing the relationship.Police have yet to establish these allegations.
Police search for people linked to case
Assistant commissioner of police (Hazratganj) Rajneesh Verma said further action would depend on the evidence gathered during the investigation.Police teams have conducted searches in Rae Bareli and Sitapur to trace people linked to the case, he said.Investigators are continuing to examine the medical findings alongside other evidence to establish the circumstances surrounding Sharma’s death.
