Aaron Rodgers paid about $1.74 million for a custom stone house outside Green Bay in March 2015. In November 2025, he listed it for $3.7 million, more than double. The roughly 10,500-square-foot home sits on 5.32 acres in Hobart, Wisconsin. He kept it through the end of his Packers career, two seasons with the Jets, and a fresh start with the Steelers. Daniel Posey of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group holds the listing. The price is the headline. The timing says more.

What Aaron Rodgers paid in 2015 and what he was asking later

Aaron Rodgers was fresh off his second MVP award when he bought the place, and his Super Bowl win over Pittsburgh sat five years back. Pittsburgh is the team he plays for now, which gives the whole story an odd symmetry. The house dates to 2003 and had been listed on and off for years before he took it. His earlier Wisconsin purchase, a four-bedroom home in Suamico, cost just $442,500.The ask is now about $3.74 million, roughly 2.15 times his purchase price. That looks like a clean win, but it isn’t pure profit. A decade of taxes, upkeep and agent fees chips away at the gain, and a house this big appeals to a small group of buyers. That small group is the real test. A Green Bay Press-Gazette roundup of former Packers homes described Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila’s Hobart property, priced at $3.988 million, as having sat on the market for several years. Rodgers listed on November 10, 2025, and no sale had been reported at the time of writing.

What does $3.7 million buy in Hobart?

The house covers about 10,529 square feet on a cul-de-sac called Thayer Trail. It sits northwest of downtown Green Bay, and reports put it anywhere from a few miles to about 20 minutes from Lambeau Field. It has four bedrooms. Accounts disagree on bathrooms, with counts from 4.5 to seven, so check the listing itself if that detail matters. The main level has wide-plank hickory floors, a library, and a chef’s kitchen with commercial-grade appliances, a walk-in pantry and a butler’s pantry. Reports describe a lower level built for play, with a billiards room, arcade area, gym with a steam shower, wine room and a brick-walled theater. The layout favors crowds. It suits a player who hosts teammates and family and needs room to train, less so a couple after a quiet weekend place. Listing photos show the rooms cleared of Rodgers’ belongings. That is standard staging, though it also makes the house feel finished with him.

Why Aaron Rodgers kept pitching it to Packers players

Rodgers never sat quietly on this property. In summer 2024, when Jordan Love signed a $220 million extension, Rodgers publicly suggested Love buy the house. Love didn’t bite. He had plenty of reasons to wait. Rodgers finished 8-9 in his last Packers season, then went to New York in a trade that sent a first-, second- and sixth-round pick to Green Bay. He tore his Achilles four snaps into his Jets career. The house stayed put through all of it.In 2025 he tried again, this time with Micah Parsons, the defensive end Green Bay got from Dallas shortly before the season. The pitch came after Rodgers scrambled away from a Parsons sack in a game at Pittsburgh. Parsons told reporters, “And he told me to buy his house.” Parsons said he had looked at it but didn’t need something so large, and he pointed to tight end Tucker Kraft as a possible taker. ESPN noted the house hadn’t appeared in any public listing at that point. Here is my read. A quarterback making sales calls to Packers players isn’t chasing the top dollar. He wanted a buyer who would understand the place, and the locker room is one of the few groups nearby that can afford it. When that route stalled, a public listing was what remained.

Where Aaron Rodgers’ other homes stand

Wisconsin is one of three homes on the market. A Realtor.com report put the combined asking price at $58.2 million. Malibu leads at $39.5 million, a beachfront property he bought for $28 million in 2019. At full price, that would be an $11.5 million gain, about 41%, over seven years. His New Jersey house, bought through an LLC in 2023 for $9.5 million, is listed at $15 million.Rodgers and his wife, Brittani, now live in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, outside Pittsburgh. Reports describe an equestrian estate there with stables, a six-car garage and a par-3 golf course. He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers and has made clear this is his final NFL season.Of the three listings, Wisconsin is the smallest sale and the oldest tie. It is also the only one he tried to sell face to face.
