Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay may soon make a brief return to the camera, giving his fans a reason to celebrate. The actor-turned-politician stepped away from films after entering politics and winning the recent Assembly election. His decision to focus on public service brought an end to a successful acting career, at least for the time being. However, fresh reports suggest that he could soon appear in front of the camera again for a different purpose.
Vijay’s return to camera for Tamil Nadu government advertisement
According to a report by News18, Vijay is likely to feature in an advertisement being prepared by the Tamil Nadu government. The project is reportedly expected to be directed by filmmaker Gautham Menon. If the reports are true, this will mark Vijay’s first appearance in front of the camera since taking charge as Chief Minister. However, it is important to note that neither the government nor the filmmaker has made an official announcement about the project so far.
Gautham Menon reportedly set to direct CM Vijay ‘s advertisement
The advertisement’s shooting is expected to take place towards the end of this month or in the first few days of next month. Details about its subject, format, and other members of the team are yet to emerge. Gautham Menon, known for his work in Tamil cinema, is reportedly being considered to direct the advertisement. The project could bring the filmmaker and Vijay together in a new setting, away from the world of feature films.
‘Jana Nayagan ‘ was announced as Vijay’s last film before politics
Before entering the election fray, Vijay had announced that H Vinoth’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ would be his final film. The decision disappointed fans who had hoped to see him continue on the big screen. His election victory and appointment as Chief Minister marked a new phase in his career. While the reported government advertisement does not mean he is returning to films, it could give fans a rare chance to see him on screen again. However, they will have to wait for an official announcement.
